I am deeply grateful and excited to collaborate as akira∞ikeda with freediver Leina Sato on a retreat to connect with wild dolphins.
We met through the “Peace Action for the Dolphin Hunt / Anima Project” held in Taiji, where we have shared our respect and prayers for life through sound and conscious action.
And through this retreat, we will experience our very first real encounter with wild dolphins.
This is a special timing for me as well
—something I’ve been wishing for a long time.
Up until now, the dolphins I’ve shared my music
with have lived in limited environments.
Even so, I often felt that they continued
to choose positivity within the space they were given.
Since then, I’ve carried a quiet wish to one day
meet them as they are in nature.
Sound may be invisible, but it truly reaches.
When harmony is present,
there is a feeling that goes beyond words.
In this retreat, rather than simply performing,
I want to value being fully present
—with the ocean in that moment, and with the dolphins.
Blending into the environment,
between humans and dolphins,
between sound and life,
I hope to gently express
the “invisible harmony” that arises through sound.
May this journey also become a time for you
to rediscover a sense of connection, your natural rhythm,
and a deep, quiet stillness within your heart.

Day 2
May 16, 2026 (Sat)
＊ The time difference between Japan and Egypt is 7 hours. ＊
(Japan is 7 hours ahead.)
Depending on your flight,
we recommend arriving at Hurghada Airport, Egypt,
early in the morning.
After arriving at the airport, you will purchase an entry visa
(it is very easy to obtain),
go through immigration, and pick up your checked luggage.
If you wish, we can also arrange a taxi
from the airport to the hotel.
For those who would like to purchase an overseas SIM card,
you can do so at the airport.

On the boat and during transfers,
internet access is very limited and generally not reliable.
You may be able to send short messages to your family
if you are lucky, but please don’t expect consistent connectivity.
Even if you bring a portable WiFi device,
the conditions will be the same.
(Of course, you should be able to connect at the airport and hotels.)
Stepping away from the outside world,
this time in Egypt becomes a truly special experience—
connecting with yourself, with nature, and with the universe.
It will be an absolutely wonderful time.

We ask everyone to gather
at a hotel near Hurghada Airport.
Around noon, a bus will pick us up
and take the entire group to the boat.
We use a boutique hotel for this stay.
If you would like us to arrange your hotel,
please let us know.
It is a long flight,
and the bus ride to the boat takes about 8 hours,
so we recommend taking a shower and a short nap after arrival
to relax and allow your body to rest.
This is the start of your journey—
driving through the desert and feeling Egypt all around you.
In the evening, we board a shuttle
and head to HAMATA Port, where the boat awaits us,
about 1.5 hours away.
Once at the port, we load our luggage onto the boat
and spend the night resting onboard.
The boat cabins are shared by two people,
and each cabin has its own private shower and toilet.
The cabins are compact,
so they may feel a bit warm at times.
You are also welcome to sleep on the spacious deck,
watching the stars and feeling the breeze.
There are mattresses available—
you can bring your sheets from your cabin,
and it is absolutely wonderful.
Feeling the sky, the stars, the moon,
the sound of the water,
and drifting into the vast universe…

Day 3
May 17, 2026 (Sun)
Morning After a quick customs inspection at the port
At dawn we set sail to the reef where the dolphins live.
The eternally expanding sky and the clear sea, I feel like the planet we live on, Earth, is an aquatic planet.
When you look at the horizon, you'll feel like space is so close
The boat ride takes about two and a half hours.

The time of resonance with the dolphins begins.
The reefs of the Red Sea are more beautiful
than you could ever imagine.
Snorkeling there,
and freediving—
After returning to the boat,
each day unfolds into moments of sound therapy,
arising spontaneously
from the inspirations of Akira and Clarisse.
You may hear the sounds resonating in the early morning.
Sound begins to vibrate within your consciousness.
Doors of awareness that had long been
unused begin to open,
and you experience your own inner universe.
The frequencies of sound
reach directly into the deepest parts of your body.
Like the moment when you hear
a whale’s 🐋 voice underwater—
a trembling sensation,
as if you are remembering
the divine presence within yourself.
Such experiences begin to happen.
Your connection with the dolphins 🐬,with the ocean,
and the experiences within this environment—
It becomes a space-time
where you touch a version of yourself
you have never encountered before.
