When I was 17, I had a dream called "The Fifth Dream."
I came across a book written by a French journalist
The book describes the mysterious connection that has existed between dolphins and humans since ancient times.
It is discussed from the perspectives of science, art, and spirituality.
The presence of dolphins
Rather than thinking of them as cute, beautiful, or intelligent animals,
I sympathized with the viewpoint that sees it as a high consciousness and one civilization.

A tremendous sense of excitement and nostalgia sparked.
I couldn't let go of my desire to study oceanography, which had been my goal until then.
I went to the University of California

Journey and Milestones
In November 2019, community screenings of Journey — Mother Ocean began in Japan.
In 2020, my second child, Manoa, was born.
Since 2021, we have been staying on Yakushima Island, a sacred place of nature and ancient spirit.
In December 2021, the Japanese website for the Fifth Dream Project was launched.
From January 2021, the Journey — Mother Ocean online screening series began.
Between 2021 and 2022, we held whale-swimming retreats in Amami Oshima,
and freediving sessions on Yakushima.
In 2023, we visited the Biosphere Center in Bali,
where we experienced living in harmony with the Earth — Gaia —
and hosted a retreat centered on that connection.
Since 2022, we have also launched an activist movement,
Project Anima, to create new connections
between people and the whales and dolphins of Japan.
Every year since then,
we have held the “Light Boat Ceremony”
in Taiji, Wakayama, honoring the bond between ocean and soul.
After the pandemic settled in 2022,
the Journey — Mother Ocean film screenings resumed once again.
In 2024, as the children began attending school in Bali,
we also established a base there —
a home between the islands,
between the ocean and the stars.

✨ A Promise on the Soul Level
Reina came to Earth through me.
She made a sacred agreement with the consciousness of the whales and dolphins.
Without Reina, I don’t think I would have ever experienced such deep encounters and sensations with them.
It all connects back to 1998 —
to my very first meeting with Bashar and Ayako Sekino.
Now I know that everything was arranged by our souls long before this lifetime.
It has been a journey of remembering who I truly am,
and of living as my authentic self.
Every experience I’ve ever had
was a step along the path of remembering myself.
Within such a short span of time,
I never imagined I would experience such transformation.
Looking back now,
what I have done matters far less than
who I am being — right now.
Profile
I lived in Europe for nearly thirty years, based mainly in Paris (1972–2002).
I wrote essays and columns for magazines about life in Paris,
and worked in creative concept development in the fashion industry.
Later, in Hawaii, together with my daughter Reina,
I founded an eco-tour company called “Melenia.”
Those four years were truly magical —
in the heart of Hawaii’s great nature,
in the limitless ocean that mirrors the universe itself.
Through encounters with dolphins and whales,
many people experienced profound awakenings —
a remembrance of their true selves —
all within a short, four-hour journey.

We continue the journey
to become the “true humans” that whales and dolphins dream of.
Through the Fifth Dream Project, and its vision Coming Home Hawaii,
we hold a beautiful vision of the future —
of a living Earth filled with beauty,
where diverse forms of life — plants, animals, and humans —
exist in harmony.
The whales and dolphins are our family.
Together with these new, awakened consciousnesses,
we wish to co-create
a new civilization —
one founded on love, beauty, and unity.
